We've put together some of our favorite places to stay, along with transportation tips to help make your trip as easy as possible.

Travel

If you’re traveling from abroad, you’ll need to fly into La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City.

We recommend arriving on Thursday or Friday so you have time to relax, enjoy Antigua, and avoid heavy traffic leaving the city on Saturday.

Getting to Antigua

Shuttle

From the airport, you can take a shuttle to Antigua. Companies like Antigua Tours offer a variety of options for international visitors.

You can reserve your shuttle prior to your trip here.

Uber

Uber is also available and easy to use.

*The drive from Guatemala City to Antigua Guatemala takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic.

Stay

Antigua is a very walkable city. If you can, we recommend staying somewhere near the central park so you can explore everything on foot.

Hotels

These are just a few of our favorite options. Antigua is full of beautiful hotels and boutique stays, so feel free to explore! If you have any questions or need help choosing a place, let us know :)

Airbnb

There are many great options available in Airbnb. Just be sure to check the location and walking distance to the city center before booking.
